Shift Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Shift Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms and conditions governing cancellations by dental professionals (referred to as “Professionals”) and by dental clinics (referred to as “Clinics”) on the Tempfind Inc. (“Tempfind”) platform (“Platform”). This Policy is designed to ensure a fair and efficient process for managing cancellations and no-show instances.

This policy is designed to provide guidelines for the cancellation of scheduled shifts, promoting transparency and accountability. We encourage all users to familiarize themselves with this policy to facilitate a harmonious and dependable work environment within the Tempfind community.

2. Professionals’ Cancellation Policy

2.1. CANCELLATION RESPONSIBILITIES

Professionals on the Tempfind platform are expected to fulfill their commitments and obligations to dental clinics. Cancelling shifts or failing to show up without valid reasons may disrupt operations and impact patient care.

2.2. CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

Professionals must adhere to the following cancellation procedure:

a. Notice Period: Professionals are required to provide a minimum notice period of 24 hours for any shift cancellation.

b. Communication:

  • Cancellations must be communicated promptly and strictly through the Tempfind platform.
  • Any attempt to cancel shifts outside the Tempfind platform, including but not limited to cancellations made via email or phone call, shall not be deemed as a valid shift cancellation under this Policy.

2.3. CONSEQUENCES OF CANCELLATION

a. Short-Notice Shift Cancellations (24 hours or less before the start of the shift):

  • First Occurrence: Temporary deactivation of booking and job application features for 30 days.
  • Second Occurrence: Permanent removal from the Tempfind platform.

b. Other Shift Cancellations (24 hours or longer before the start of the shift):

  • First Occurrence: The first warning will be issued.
  • Second Occurrence: Temporary deactivation of booking and job application features for 30 days.
  • Third Occurrence: Temporary deactivation of booking and job application features for 90 days.
  • Fourth Occurrence: Permanent removal from the Tempfind platform

c. No-Shows:

  • Zero tolerance – Permanent removal from the Tempfind platform.

2.4. OTHER ASSUMPTIONS

  • For short-notice shift cancellations, a doctor’s note or proof of valid reason must be provided to Tempfind within seven (7) calendar days to keep the Professional’s account active.
  • All warnings, booking and job applications feature deactivations, and account suspensions are automatically issued by the system (“Tempfind Platform”) without human intervention, based on established criteria and the Policy.
  • The number of cancellations and no-shows will be visible to Clinics on the Professional’s profile page.

2.5. APPEAL PROCESS

Professionals may appeal any decision made under this Policy by submitting a written appeal to Tempfind. The appeal will be reviewed by the Tempfind team, and a final decision will be communicated to the Professional.

3. Clinics’ Cancellation Policy

3.1. CLINICS’ CANCELLATION RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinics utilizing the Tempfind platform are expected to fulfill their commitments and obligations to dental professionals. Cancellations may disrupt scheduling and impact the availability of qualified professionals.

3.2. CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

Clinics must adhere to the following cancellation procedure:

a. Notice Period: Clinics are required to provide a minimum notice of twenty-four (24) hours for confirmed shift cancellation to avoid cancellation fees.

b. Communication:

  • Cancellations must be communicated promptly and strictly through the Tempfind platform with a provision of a valid reason.
  • Any attempt to cancel shifts outside the Tempfind platform, including but not limited to cancellations made via email or phone call, shall not be deemed as a valid shift cancellation under this Policy.

3.3. CONSEQUENCES OF CANCELLATION

  • When a Clinic cancels a confirmed shift 24 hours or less before the start of the shift, the affected professional is owed a cancellation fee (a payment equivalent to 50% of the shift total).
  • The cancellation fee partially compensates the Professional for lost wages arising from such cancellations.
  • For Clinics using the Pay Per Hire plan, the Tempfind placement fee is not refunded for cancelled shifts.

3.4. APPEAL PROCESS

Clinics may appeal any decision made by the affected Professional under this Policy by submitting a written appeal to Tempfind. The appeal will be reviewed by the Tempfind team and communicated to the Professional in search of a mutually agreeable resolution between the Clinic and the Professional.
