Yes. You can accept or decline any booking request sent to your profile. You are not obligated to accept every request. You can also apply directly to shifts posted by specific clinics you want to work with.

Yes. You set your hourly rate during profile setup. Clinics see your rate before sending a booking request. Your rate reflects your experience, certifications, and availability preferences.

Dental assistants are expected to fulfill all confirmed shifts. Cancellations must be submitted through the platform at least 48 hours before the scheduled shift start time. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice result in temporary deactivation of booking features. No-shows result in immediate account deactivation. If a clinic cancels a confirmed shift less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, you are entitled to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the shift total as partial compensation for lost income. Yes. Tempfind covers Ottawa and surrounding communities including Kanata, Barrhaven, Orléans, North Dundas, and other areas in the Ottawa region. During registration you set your preferred travel distance, which controls which shifts and booking requests appear for your profile.

Yes. You can add language skills and other preferences to your profile. Ottawa has a bilingual dental market and some clinics specify French-language requirements when posting shifts or sending booking requests. Indicating French fluency in your profile improves match quality with those clinics, particularly in Orléans, Vanier, and other francophone communities in the Ottawa area.

When you register on Tempfind you create your own profile, set your own rate, and communicate directly with clinics through the platform. There are no placement fees charged to dental assistants and no agency acting as an intermediary. You control which shifts you take and which clinic relationships you build over time.
