Sometimes professionals do have to cancel their shifts due to unexpected circumstances, but we have zero tolerance for short-notice (less than 24 hours) shift cancellations. In such cases, we suspend professionals’ account immediately, locking them from the platform, until they provide supporting documentation proving an excruciating event that happened preventing them physically or emotionally attend to their shift commitments.
When cancelling a shift, dental professionals must outline the reason for their cancellation before they can submit it. The cancellation reason, along with other information related to the shift, is displayed in cancellation email that is sent to you once your shift is cancelled by a professional.
If it was a booking request and Fill Shift Faster was enabled, the system will publish a job with shift detail and parameters identical to the cancelled shift (profession, date, time, lunch, preferred rate etc.), inviting matching dental professionals to apply.
If it was a job posting, the system will re-open it; all matching dental professionals will be alerted about it becoming available for them to apply.
